Blue Spiral Plates
This pictures above make up my final project. I made through these plates on the wheel and also trimmed them on the wheel. I used five pounds of clay for each plate. After the plates were bisque fired, I dipped them in a white glaze then I put a little circle of glaze in the middle of the plate then spun the plate on the wheel. That is how the spiral blue color on the plates came to be. I really liked how the plates turned out in the end.
Dripping Dinnerwear Set
The pictures above make up my Dinnerware Set project The goal of this project was to make a dripping glaze, I thought the glaze was going to come out with more texture but I still liked how pieces turned out.
Cherry Blossom Teapot
The pictures above make up my teapot project. The challenging part of this project was creating a lid that would fit the pot. Another challenging part was drawing out the tree before I put glaze on the teapot. I think that the teapot turned out as I wanted.
Dotted cheese Dish
The pictures above make up my dish for a dish project. I wanted to create cheese/sushi platter. When I was glazing the piece, I did not expect the tool to make the glaze come out in little circles but in the end I still liked the way the platter turned out.
